In Noctaria, some equipment can carry special attributes that make them more powerful and unique. These attributes don’t appear often and require effort to unlock.
When a monster drops an item, there is a 0.2–0.4% chance (depending on its classification level) it will carry unidentified items. Until identified, they cannot be equipped or show any stats. Once identified, the item reveals its original stats along with one or more random attributes.
Each item belongs to a classification, which determines how many attributes it can hold.
Attributes are tied to the type of item:
Classification only affects how many attributes an item can have, not the strength of those attributes.

If you want to clear attributes from an item, you’ll need a Purge Rune. Using a Purge Rune removes all attributes from the item.
Instead of being wasted, the broken attributes are converted into Essence of Raw Energies. These energies can be used to craft new Mystic Runes, letting you recycle power into new chances at better rolls.
Dying while wearing attributed equipment carries a risk. Each attributed item you have equipped is checked individually, and there’s a 20% chance per item to lose an attribute. To protect your gear, you can buy the Grace of Preservation blessing from Oldrak in Plains of Havoc. This blessing prevents any loss of attributes on death.
